Current Versions
StorageLink (BYOL) — Active
The BYOL (Bring Your Own License) listing is the primary listing for StorageLink. Customers on this listing receive new features, regular security updates, and an ongoing upgrade path. The number of users is determined by your license — start with a 30-day free trial (10 users), then purchase a production license sized to your needs. Upgrading your license is a file upload — no migration required.

StorageLink (Marketplace — AWS, Azure, GCP) — Active
The marketplace listing is available on AWS, Azure, and GCP with hourly pricing. Starting with version 1.3.0, marketplace instances are licensed for 10 StorageLink users (administrators are not counted). Customers with more than 10 users should use the BYOL listing, where the license is issued for the number of users required.

Older Versions
StorageLink 1.0.1–1.2.1 (Marketplace) — Long-Term Support
These versions are in Long-Term Support mode. They will continue to receive critical security patches on a case-by-case basis, and technical support is still provided. No new features or bug fixes will be added.
There is no in-place upgrade path from v1.2.1 to v1.3.0 — upgrading requires launching a new instance and restoring a backup. Customers on these versions who want the latest features should plan a migration.
- 10 or fewer users: Migrate to v1.3.0 on the marketplace. No license needed — stay on marketplace billing.
- More than 10 users: Migrate to the BYOL listing with a license sized to your needs. Request a license to get started.
Contact support@thorntech.com for assistance with your migration.
