Failure to Overwrite Files in Blob Storage
Overview
There is currently an issue on SFTP Gateway version 2.000.00
- 2.001.06
when attempting to overwrite files in Blob Storage.
This issue began in March 2022 when Microsoft changed the default behavior of az storage blob upload
on March 3, 2022 so that it no longer overwrites existing files in Blob.
See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cli/azure/release-notes-azure-cli#march-03-2022.
Status of the issue
This issue is fixed in SFTP Gateway version 2.001.07
. If you are on SFTP Gateway version 2.x, you can update to the latest version.
In general, we recommend that all customers on version 2 to migrate to version 3. SFTP Gateway version 3 improves performance, and also lets you read and write directly to Blob storage via the SFTP protocol.
