Version Support Calendar (AWS)
This page lists all SFTP Gateway versions available on AWS Marketplace, their release dates, and current support status.
Support Stages
Each SFTP Gateway version falls into one of the following support stages:
| Stage | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Active | Receiving new features, security patches, and bug fixes. |
| LTS (Long-Term Support) | No new features. Critical security patches only. Technical support is still provided. |
| End of Maintenance | No further patch releases will be provided. Technical support is still available to assist with configuration, troubleshooting, and migration planning. Customers are encouraged to upgrade. |
| End of Life | No longer supported. No patches or technical support are provided. Customers on these versions should upgrade as soon as possible. |
Current Versions
SFTP Gateway (BYOL)
The BYOL (Bring Your Own License) listing is the primary listing for SFTP Gateway going forward. All new versions (3.9.0+) will be published exclusively to this listing. Customers on this listing receive new features, regular security updates, and an ongoing upgrade path.

SFTP Gateway Enterprise, Professional, and Standard
The Enterprise, Professional, and Standard marketplace listings are in Long-Term Support mode. These listings will continue to receive critical security patches on a case-by-case basis, and technical support is still provided. However, no new features will be added to these listings. Customers who want access to new features and regular updates should transition to the BYOL listing.

Older Versions
SFTP Gateway 3.x (Legacy) — End of Maintenance
These versions no longer receive patches of any kind, including security fixes. Technical support is still available to assist with configuration, troubleshooting, and planning an upgrade path. These versions may run on operating systems that are at or near end-of-life, and customers are strongly encouraged to upgrade to a current version.

These versions have reached end of life. No patches or technical support are provided. The underlying operating system (Amazon Linux 2) reaches end-of-life in June 2026. Customers still running these versions should upgrade as soon as possible.

- Log in to the SFTP Gateway web admin interface.
- The version number is displayed in the footer or on the Settings page.

Customers on older versions are encouraged to upgrade to the latest version on the BYOL listing for continued features, security updates, and support. Contact support@thorntech.com for assistance with your upgrade path.
